Harassment: Sex, Religion, and Beyond -- Employee/California Manager Combination Package
This program can be used as a component of a 2-hour class led by a qualified trainer to meet the standards of California AB 1825, AB 2053, and SB 396. The Trainer's Manual, purchased separately, helps facilitators lead a 2-hour training in compliance with these requirements.

Supervisors and managers have the added responsibility of maintaining a harassment-free work environment for everyone. Using the compelling stories from the employee program, the California Manager version explains to supervisors the potential harm that can be caused by unwelcome conduct, and their responsibility for preventing it. They receive specific instruction on steps they should take in meeting these responsibilities, including those set forth by the State of California.
California supervisors will learn how to:
- display posters and distribute brochures as required by California law
- comply with California's specific training requirements
- understand California complaint processes and remedies
- be aware of what affects their workgroup, including improper use of social media
- periodically conduct workplace audits, looking for inappropriate items
- respond to complaints of inappropriate behavior
- conduct investigations or assist HR/legal, depending on organizational structure
- inform employees that retaliation will not be tolerated.
This video portrays supervisors who step in early, before problems escalate. And it emphasizes the theme that a respectful workplace is more pleasant and more productive—which, in the end, makes their job easier.
In both versions, our attorney moderators, Stefanie Schaeffer and Greg Dehm, provide commentary on the stories and discuss the issues frankly and openly. California managers are provided with concise direction regarding their responsibilities as supervisors, as well as an explanation of California's specific regulations and requirements.
