Managing the Exchange Visitor Program Lifecycle:
This course introduces critical skills and knowledge needed to support J-1 exchange visitors coming to the United States in a variety of roles. The module gives learners the tools that ROs and AROs will need to assist exchange visitors before, during and after their stays.
The pre-arrival review segment allows the learner to: recall strategies for quickly determining participant eligibility for a J-1 program; identify common J-1 participant eligibility issues; recall best practices for J-1 programs to assess participants’ English proficiency; recall compliance issues associated with participant funding, fees, insurance and housing; list common travel tips for J-1 participants; and identify critical document handling best practices.
