Purchasing & Order Status

How do I search for books?

You can search the SHRMStore by author, book title, keyword, item number or ISBN. The search engine is available on the top right side of each SHRMStore page.

To search by Author: Enter the LAST name only of the author and click the Search button. If the book has more than one author, search for one last name only.

To search by Title: Enter the title or words from the title and click the Search button.

To search by Keyword: Enter the keyword and click the Search button. When searching by keyword, the search engine will match character strings in the title and description fields. This search engine recognizes Boolean search terms such as "and", "or" and "+". For example, you can search for "employee and benefits,"

To search by item number: Enter the item number and click the Search button.

To search by ISBN: Enter the ISBN and click the Search button.

Can I view books by subject?
A list of books presorted by subject (or categories) is available from the Books and Resources tab found at the top of the page. Under HR Topics, go to the topic you are interested in and click on “See All”.Click on your desired category to see all subcategories then select the one you in which you are interested.
How can I find other books by the same author?
You can find all books by an author by entering the author's name in the Search field.
Suggesting a Book or Product for the SHRMStore

If you are an author or publisher that would like to have their book added to the SHRMStore, please email shrmstore@shrm.org and place Product Selection Criteria and Processin the subject field. You will be emailed the criteria and process document. Please complete and return to shrmstore@shrm.org.

If you an author that would like to have your book idea considered by SHRM Publishing, please review the Book Proposal Submission Guidelines or contact Chris Anzalone at Christopher.Anzalone@shrm.org for more information.

What if I can't find the book I'm looking for in SHRMStore?
If you can't find the book you are looking for, please send an email inquiry to SHRMStore@shrm.org .  Please include as much information as possible about the book such as title, author, publisher, date, ISBN.

Payments

Can I pay by credit card?
Online: Visa, MasterCard, American Express. Phone or fax orders: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, check, money order, purchase order
Can I pay by check?

Can I pay with a PO?
Currently, the SHRMStore requires prepayment by check, money order or credit card. Institutes of higher education (colleges and universities) and government entities, located within the domestic United States, may place orders by Purchase Order by mailing a PO and order form to:

Can I be invoiced?
An invoice may be created by contacting the SHRM Member Care Center by phone or email, however registrations are not complete until payment has been received in full.
What is the sales tax?
For orders from residents of NY 8.9 % sales tax is added, IL 9% sales tax is added, VA 6% sales tax is added, MN 7% sales tax is added, GA 7% sales tax is added, NJ 7.7% sales tax is added, NV 7% sales tax is added, and CA 9% sales tax is added. Canadian customers will pay duties and taxes upon receipt. If you have tax exempt status, please place your order by calling 1.800.444.5006 and selecting option 1. Please have your tax exempt number available.

Refunds

What is the refund policy?
The SHRM Store return policy varies by product so please reference your order confirmation and/ or packing list for details. More information can be found in the SHRM Terms of Use, Section 5: Shopping.
Where do I send my return?
The packing list included in your order indicates the specific return instructions for the item(s) you ordered. Please reference this for more information. Online orders cannot be returned. All sales at conferences can only be returned before the conference ends. After the conference ends, all sales are final.

Transfers/Cancellations

What do I do if I need to cancel?
Please call the SHRMStore fulfillment center at 1.800.444.5006 and select option 1 (international orders call 1.770.280.4188) or email shrmstore@shrm.org . We will do our best to cancel your order. If it has already shipped, you will need to return the items upon receipt.

Shipping

When will I receive my purchase?
If all items are in stock, your order will typically ship within 2 business days. If you place an order the item is on Backorder, the backordered items will ship when they are in stock which is usually within 2 weeks or less.
How do I know if an item is in stock?
Each item shows the stock status. If it is in stock, the availability will show, ‘In Stock". If it is not in stock, Availability will show, "Out of Stock." You can also contact our fulfillment center at 1.800.444.5006 and select option 1 to check on the quantity in stock.
What are the shipping charges?
The SHRMStore charges shipping, handling and insurance based on destination and weight. Ground shipping is currently the only service available. However, if you would like to place an order using 2-day or Overnight shipping, please place your order by calling 1.800.444.5006 and selecting option 1. (For international customers, including Canada, dial 1.770.280.4188). You can fax orders to 770.442.9742. The SHRMStore hours of operation are 8 a.m. -- 5 p.m. Eastern Time Monday -- Friday. UPS Ground
What are my shipping options?
The SHRMStore charges shipping, handling and insurance based on destination and weight. Ground shipping is currently the only service available.
