Can I purchase for other people?
Yes. When you fill out the online registration form you are able to input the attendee’s information.
Can I do a corporate purchase?

SHRM educational program registrations can be purchased for an individual as well as for small groups. If you would like to bring a small group to a program, please email us at seminars@shrm.org and we will provide you with a group discount. If you have a group of 10 or more then we may be able to bring the training to you. Contact us to identify the program that best addresses your team's development needs and set up your team's onsite training program, or to purchase specialty credential learning packages for your team:

How can I ensure my order was received?

You should receive a confirmation email to the email address on file once the payment has been received, however if another is required, please contact the SHRM Member Care Center:

Can I get a receipt for my purchase?
You may access a receipt of payment online under your account / MySHRM area by selecting the My Orders & Donations tile. You may also request a receipt of payment via phone or email.
Can I put something in my cart and come back later?
Selected seminars will remain in your cart for approximately 30 days.
I saved something in my cart and now it is gone.
If your seminar is no longer displayed in your cart, it may have reached the 30 day expiration date. You may re-select your item to add it to your cart before checking out.
Can I view my order history?
You may access your order history for seminars under your account / MySHRM area by selecting the My Orders & Donations tile.
Do I need to be a member?
You are not required to be a member to register for SHRM seminars. For most events, SHRM offers a discounted rate for SHRM members.

Payments

Can I pay by credit card?
You may submit payment for a seminar via phone, fax, or online via Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. Unfortunately, Discover Card is not an accepted form of payment.
Can I pay by check?

Can I pay with a PO?

SHRM accepts purchase orders for educational programs or specialty credential learning packages from Government agencies only. Purchase orders may be mailed, accompanied with a completed registration form, to:

Can I use a Gift Certificate?

SHRM does not offer gift certificates for educational programs or specialty credential learning packages. However, you may purchase an educational program or specialty credential learning package for another person. Can I be invoiced?
An educational program or specialty credential learning package invoice may be created by contacting the SHRM Member Care Center by phone or email, however registrations are not complete until payment has been received in full.
What is the sales tax?
SHRM educational programs and specialty credential learning packages do not include sales tax.

Should the program be cancelled, SHRM is not responsible for any penalty incurred by purchasing a nonrefundable airline ticket or related travel/personal costs. Confirmed registrants may cancel and receive a full refund minus a $250 administrative fee up to 10 business days before the program. If you find that you are unable to attend and it is less than 10 business days before the program start date, you may send a replacement to attend in your place. If you are unable to send a replacement, you forfeit your registration fee.

Participants who cancel their registration for the SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP Certification Preparation (3 days), the SHRM-CP Power Prep, the SHRM-SCP Power Prep, the Virtual SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP Certification Preparation Seminars (7 weeks or 9 weeks), SHRM Essentials of Human Resources (2 days), or the Virtual Essentials of Human Resources Seminar (4 weeks) must return the SHRM Learning System or SHRM Essentials of Human Resources materials unopened or be charged the purchase price of $695 SHRM Member/$885 Nonmember for the SHRM Learning System or the purchase price of $385 SHRM Member/$460 Nonmember for the SHRM Essentials of Human Resources.

What is the refund/cancellation policy for SHRM specialty credential learning packages?

Confirmed purchasers may cancel and receive a full refund minus a $250 administrative fee, provided that you have not begun any of the eLearning modules included as part of the package, and that the educational program component for which you are registered has not occurred.

Purchasers are automatically registered for the next upcoming educational program. If you find that you are unable to attend, you may select another upcoming program date. If you are unable to attend at an alternative date, you forfeit your purchase fee.

What is the return policy?
For SHRM Certification Prep courses only: Unused items may be returned for a full refund (less shipping and handling) within 30 days of purchase. No items will be accepted after 30 days or if they are not in a condition to be resold.

Transfers/Cancellations

What is the transfer policy?

Transfers for SHRM educational programs are permitted one time only within the calendar year. You may transfer into another educational program that will be held before December 31 of the current calendar year. If you are unable to attend the educational program to which you transfer, you may send a replacement. If you are unable to send a replacement, you forfeit your registration fee. All transfers must be made in writing no later than 10 business days before the program start date, using our Online Form or can be faxed to +1.703.535.6490 . Transfers will not be permitted for seminars held in Canada.

Shipping

When will I receive my purchase?
For SHRM Certification Prep and SHRM Essentials courses: SHRM Learning System materials and SHRM Essentials materials are typically received via mail, within 5 – 7 business days of processing the order. SHRM Learning Systems and SHRM Essentials materials cannot be mailed to P.O. Boxes. A physical address must be listed for shipping.
How do I know if an item is in stock?
If an educational program is full, the website will show it as SOLD OUT, or you will be prompted on the website that the educational program is no longer available.
What are the shipping charges?
For SHRM Certification Prep and SHRM Essentials courses: No additional shipping is charged. Shipping is charged when purchasing the Learning System or SHRM Essentials materials as a separate item (without a course).
What are my shipping options?
Typically, orders are shipped via FedEx Ground unless specified otherwise. SHRM reserves the right to utilize alternate shippers when necessary. Orders outside the continental United States will be shipped via airfreight. Orders shipped via FedEx Ground will normally arrive within 5–7 business days of processing the order.
