Program Overview

This designed to walk learners through the implementation process of succession planning. By focusing on a people-centered approach, learners will leave this course with key takeaways to execute succession planning within their organization. By discussing real-world situations, learners will develop a strategic understanding on how to design and implement a succession plan that positions talent for the future workforce and identifies solutions to effectively pivot in a changing environment. This course provides a collaborative environment where professional learners connect to develop necessary tools for a successful succession planning portfolio.

Program Objectives
This program is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to:
  • Differentiate between the process-centered approach and the people- centered approach to succession planning to understand your organization’s culture.
  • Understand how people-centered approaches improve business culture and leadership.
  • Discuss best practices to resolve common succession planning gaps to move toward a more people-centered approach.
  • Develop a prioritized plan to monitor and manage the succession plan through the implementation process
