Mandatory California Changes
The California Department of Fair Employment and Housing has released a new Transgender Rights in the Workplace posting employers are required to display as of January 1, 2018.
Second mandatory change pending: The California Department of Fair Employment and Housing indicates that the state’s Discrimination posting will also be updated with a mandatory change. The updated posting will include additional information about the illegality of sexual harassment, as required by SB 396. The law takes effect January 1, 2018.
The California posters will be updated with both the new transgender rights posting and the Discrimination posting revision after the Discrimination posting text is released by the state.
